Driving and Me

Once again, I am just a kid who love cars so much...

In the garden, under the heat of the sun
You may know me, but you don't know my story. Okay, first let me introduce myself, my name is Kristian Nathanael Tantama, the author of this blog, and I'm an Indonesian. You can read more of my identity in the page "About Me"

I have hobbies, like singing, bicycling, gaming but not really professional, still newbie, playing badminton, and of course: DRIVING! But one thing that i don't like from driving in Indonesia is, THE ROAD IS VERY CROWDED. Also, there are many riders (motorcycle riders) and drivers that is selfish: they only think and care about themselves, they want to arrive to their destination as quick as possible without even thinking the other road users. You should have good reflexes and intention to go forward and you should be quick too, because if not your chance will be taken by other people and your time to arrive to your destination will increase.

Talking about driving in Indonesia, it is challenging enough because not all road is flawless, sometimes we find broken roads especially in villages because they were not maintained well but now they are being repaired by our president, Mr. Joko Widodo, after that almost 80% roads in indonesia are tight roads, only 3 or less meters of width and you need extra skill if you see another car in front of you with the road width only 3 meters or less :), because if you crash or stratch them, of course they will ask money and tell that we are stupid, idiot, etc.

What do I like from driving in Indonesia? I like driving on the toll roads, or inter-city roads. I like to release my racing pleasure in the real world, but of course i know my limit. My top speed is 105 km/h in a toll road near my city, I'm not brave enough to push more than my limit because I am still learning, and I don't want anything bad happen to me and my car, so lets play safe.

Driving tips from me? I have arranged it:
1) Respect other road users and if possible, use defensive driving, not aggresive driving.
2) RACE IN THE RACING CIRCUIT, don't race in roads. Why? Because the higher the speed, the harder to control the car, and you don't know what will happen next. How if there is an accident just because of your reckless driving? Okay, even in circuit, accident is unavoidable, but in circuit it is just a self-crash. How about in roads? Many other people are innocent, you are wrong if you race in roads, they will be your victim, think twice! They are innocent!
3) Even in circuit, wear safety attributes to minimize damage if you have an accident, obey the rules, and ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT. Airbags won't work if you don't wear your seat belt. Why? Because airbags aren't soft, without holder (your seatbelt), your body bounces towards and if the airbags pop up, you are dead in that time, because i told you again, AIRBAGS ARE NOT SOFT PILLOWS, IT ONLY HELPS THE SEATBELT TO HOLD YOUR BODY WHEN CRASH HAPPENS.

Thanks for reading.
